About Us

It requires awe-inspiring vision to transform a rather unknown temple town into a thriving educational township. This credit goes to Dr. Mohan Alva, the founder and chairman of Alva’s Education foundation®, because of whom Moodbidri has become an epitome of social engineering in modern India. Moodbidri, which is also known as Jain Kashi, is a busting town cuddled in the green Valleys of Western Ghats, 34kms from the coastal town of Mangalore.

With a Nobel intension of imparting quality education to today’s youth which is largely starved of its own cultural heritage, Dr. Mohan Alva conceived a concept educational foundation which aims at moulding inspired individuals of tomorrow who are aware of their traditional roots. It is a melting pot of Indian culture & tradition where value based education is delivered with utmost importance to character building. Today, Moodbidri is looked at as a dream destination both for professional and traditional academic activities drawing national & international attention for educational, cultural, literary, and sports activities.
